April 28, 2003
Former
Brisben Companies CEO Terry Schwartz has started a new business
that will focus on buying and managing value-added properties,
as well as on institutional asset management advisory. Real
Equities Real Estate Advisors will look to acquire distressed
properties in the Midwest for turnaround. It will manage
its own portfolio as well as fee-mange properties for other
owners. Schwartz will serve as managing partner. Schwartz
left Brisben Companies several months ago after the announcement
that the company's assets had been sold to AIG SunAmerica
Inc., and all company operations, including National Realty
Management, would be closing down. Real Equities Real Estate
Advisors will operate in Bingham Farms, Mich., where Schwartz
has maintained a family home for many years
